I know this is a harp and blues forum :) However, here's an amazing drummer, Marilyn Mazur, that I just had to share with you. Two weeks ago I had the pleasure seeing her with the fantastic pianist Makiko Hirabayashi and Klavs Hovman on Kontrabass.
Damn it, that's the one!! She gives me the chills. ---------- YT
That saxist has the most pained look on his face while he was playing. Pretty cool though.
Buddha, do you think you could watch the language. I know your making an ironic remark, a pretty funny one at that, but in the interest of maybe someday having more than five women around here willing to post...
Also note the Garbarek phrasing. How many diatonic harmonica players can play with such creativity without chord progressions, not falling into blues riffs. ---------- http://myspace.com/harmonicaboris
eharp, thats not cool. As moderators, nacoran and I are trying the best we can to be fair in our judgment. I personally think that it was right for nacoran to call buddha out on this one (as I failed to). Please don't question our integrety and make our work harder than it has to be. Thanks.

eharp, I don't see every thread, but just so you understand where I'm coming from, my rule of thumb for when I say something is don't be racially or sexually derogative. I see it the same way as if you attack another member of the forum, except instead of attacking a specific member you are attacking a particular group.
I recognized Buddha's comment as irony but only because there was a context of having seen a lot of his other posts. Someone new to the forum might not get that. As for normal swearing, just don't string them together. I suspect if I fully understood Australian dialect I might blush at some of what Nasty says, but until I figure that out I'll have to let him slide! ;)
There has been so much worse bullshit that you guys have participated in and did nothing. But I use one simple word, a word that is not even censored on television and you people are offended.
Go practice harp or do something productive.

JAZZTASTIC MAN! petty they spent so much on instruments they had no cash left over to buy the lass a drum stool, she is gonna get a back strain playing like that!
Several times when I was a kid, my two buddies and I would drive a VW Kombi up from San Diego to Anaheim. Out in the 'back 40' parking lot at Disneyland, there was a huge fig tree that you could climb up and sneak over the fence back by the Carnation Stage. I had a friend whose sister was "Snow White" that walked around the park in costume and greeted the tourists. She would let us know when Buddy Rich and Mel Torme would use that stage in springtime to rehearse prior to touring. It was open to whomever would walk by and sit for a bit to watch. Raw practice as they worked out the arrangements. I would sit there spellbound for hours and watch those guys. "Buddy Rich is God" might be a stretch. But, I'm pretty sure he's faster.
