Hello everyone,
I've been working with some tools to obtain a bit of maintenance skills. I've got a bunch of pieces from various toolkits, from micromark.com, and Mr. Richard Sleigh.
Are these the kind of tools that would be allowed on an airplane? I doubt they would let me take it as carry on, but would it be alright if I kept them in a separate luggage?
I did a little google search but didn't come up to anything concrete. I am curious if anyone has any experience they'd like to share. Thanks in advance!

I doubt they'd let you take the tools as carry on, but I don't think you'd have much problem putting it in your checked bags. I'd check with the airline. Usually for checked baggage they worry about weight (which they charge for) and chemicals or explosives. You might have issues with things like brass cleaners or things like that.

I have took some tools with me in hand baggage. You should keep those in the places where they don't seem so dangerous. I've carried f.ex. plinker, the draw scraper and screwdriver heads in my wallets coin department. I separated the metallic pin vise holder from the draw scraper so that it wouldn't look like an instrument that could be used as a weapon.. ;)
