@ Joe_L @ Yikes I knew I'd forget something. Next time.
@ bluemoose @ Damn! I was so intent on getting something down I forgot about that. It's not my curtains folks, honest. Just a backdrop to cover a fussy background. I wanted all the attention on me ;)
By the way, I'm using a D Sp20 with a tin of dried lentils tied to my foot for percussion.
Tooka, is that a bowler or a topper? I'm a hat lover; always have been, even before blues or harp came into my life. I have a small collection of vintage hats, including topper, homburg, several fedoras. I also have a few new hats: poor boy, small straw fedora, etc. Love them hats, and I'm going to wear them, maybe even while playing harp.
@Joe_L I don't want this topic to off on a rant tangent, but don't you think we could ease up on the criticism and have a bit of fun once in while?
I don't use a hat. I use Turtle Wax. Of course, every summer I get a burn on top of my head. Maybe I should get a hat. My head is awfully big though. 26 1/2.
Hi mr_so&so, I'm not totally certain. It's more of a bowler than anything else but it's slightly taller than the traditional London City Gents bowler. I think a topper would be taller still and have a flat top.
Tooka, no, that's the circumference, but it's still (I'm may be remembering the size wrong) one size bigger than the biggest Stetson. I wanted a Panama hat. Maybe your right though. I wonder if I can get an energy credit to get those panels installed.
Bro Nate My Bro is Bald as a Babys Arse any one Slings of at his Baldness,
he Just Luaghs explaing you may think im Bald Bro but what you see is a Solar Panel for a Sex Machine:)
Man Talk about big Heads one day we where out fishing, catching a few King Fish had to use the size rule to keep to Legal limits,
Well i decided to measure my head with the fish Ruler it's a tape rule, well Fuck Bro's i will never live it down my Head is Bigger than a Bloody King Fish,
Every time we catch fish now someone allways says wrap this around ya head Bro see if it's legal Limit:)
@mr_so&so - if you've gotta wear a hat, wear a hat. In some locations, it's considered a very poor stereotype to go walking around like a reject from the cast of the Blues Brothers. Some of the more hardcore performers that run in Blues circles find it disrespectful to the legacy of the tradition.
The way I see it, if you wear a hat every day as part of your normal attire, then that's just part of who you are. Wear it to gig if you want, that's part of who you are too. ---------- I used to be young and foolish. Now I'm not so young.
I wear fedoras (pinstripe, straw, black, whatever) and cowboy hats, especially outside on sunny or rainy days...do the math.
They are all part of who i am. I take them off for public prayer. I don't even bother with them for church on Sunday. Otherwise, it stays on once I put it on.
If anybody finds my hat offensive, I can live with that.
