I know I've spoken before about self teaching myself how to play without much direction. I find it a little odd and I bit amusing that at 50 I'm still discovering tendancies I didn't know I had and in strange ways. Over the last 6-7 months I've purchased Buddha Harps in the major keys that I play on stage. those being A, Bb, C, D, and F. I have been playing them alot and decided to start playing the ones I customized, and keep as back ups, more to prolong the life of the Buddha Harps for stage use. So Being a good lil Harp player I've been practicing alot and I discovered that I push the harmonica deeper into the left side of my mouth as far as I can for tone and work the right side changing between notes faster and doing slurs and such. I found this out because being now used to the much nicer and smoother Buddha Harp going back to my MB I now have officially rubbed the corner of my mouth red and a lil raw!! I just love bouts of self discovery! After all these years I'm humbled a bit to know I still have bad mechanical habits that I need to work on.

It's only a bad habit if you don't have smooth harps!

Nac, that's why I buy em if I spent enough time working on them that I got them this good I would never have time to practice or play!
