Odd that you posted a tune with a Celtic twist in response, because my lasting impression of the first video (once things had really got going) was just how Celtic it sounded. Imagine taking away the tanpura drone and replacing it with an Uilllean pipe drone. It's incanny.

MVLUN- There is something sprightly and Celtic to the harmonicas rhythm. I didn't notice it the first time because I was paying more attention to the tabla.
edit: I'd actually been meaning to find GH's thread about unusual harmonica sounds and post the video to that. I've sung through my harmonica before but I always just thought I was weird.

Groyster- It's weird. I know the harmonica is huge in Japan but there doesn't seem to be all that much Japanese harmonica stuff on YouTube. I wonder if maybe another service is big in Japan or maybe the search algorithms don't translate Japanese keywords well.
edit- OK, so I tried Google translate and copy and pasted the Japanese characters into YouTube. The first translation seemed to generate a lot of hits for accordion. The second translation didn't seem to work at first- I got this video. The guy doesn't actually start playing harmonica until about the two minute mark, but he seems to be singing about it!
Shoot, the forum won't let me post the characters.
LOL!!! One of the top rated Japanese harmonica videos is the Darth Vader harmonica video!!!
