Here's a wireless range and tone demo I did with a cleaner amp setting in the rp80. The crunch is from the valve junior and the mic. The setting is a blackface twin simulation with some midrange and treble cut in the eq. The delay is 300ms.
The playing is just noodling on a marine band. I don't remember what key, probably an A.
Adams Amp video shows his delay at 800ms. That's over 2 1/2 times as long as mine(2 1/2 times plus another 50 ms, in fact). I agree on the spoken word it was pretty heavy, but when you play with a group the delay fades into the rest of the music. It just isn't a high enough spl to even be noticeable in a band setting, but it fattens the tone. As long as the band doesn't stop and leave you hanging out there it will never be a problem...and even then it would only be for 300ms, worst case scenario. I can't imagine any scenario like that one in my band. I also have a setting just like it with 200 ms and one with 100ms to better match songs with different tempos. Frankly, 300 seems to work with everything so far because of the way it rapidly fades in volume.

I'm just messing with ya. I used to be a vocal echo addict. I've always had an airy sound to my voice and instead of working with it. In Audacity I'll add anything from .1 to .5 second delay to my harp depending what I'm doing. ---------- Nate Facebook
cool. You would have liked the first setting I tried..it was huge! I don't even remember what it was, but it was the max setting on the pedal. Definitely over the top.
