OK, I've been lurx'n for only a week or two, and finally did get around to playing with the map thing...
Harp wise? Well... I picked up a couple Lee Oskar harps in the late 80's and diddled around a bit, but didn't learn much. As luck would have it, I found those two Lee Oskar harps in a drawer and thought I'd give it a go. That's about when I found Gussow on youtube, at which point the real education process started. (Thx Adam!)
I picked up the 5-set of MB's plus a Low-F a couple weeks ago. I've started tuning and tweaking these MB's (just ordered 100 tiny nuts/bolts this morning), trying to get the bends and overblows working for me. So, I suppose this thing is getting serious! :D
I'm a career semiconductor design geek by trade. Living in a little town called Vernonia, Oregon. Thats about 40 miles out of Portland, Oregon in the coastal mountains.
Best regards to the MBH crew, Captain Bolide
BTW, just scored a reserve seat for Buddy Guy at the Roseland Theater :D

--- BTW, I found that if I run Bend'O'meter while viewing Gussow's vids I can 'watch' the riffs

Welcome aboard Captain.
Running Bend-O-Meter while playing other people's stuff, that's a cool idea!

Hello all... I'm in the military, currently in Korea but getting ready to head to Afghanistan this summer. I've been lurking for a while; lots of interesting stuff to see and hear at this site. BTW...anyone know which B-rad keys have shipped yet? I'm supposed to have three on the way...

I'm the other little pin next to Elwood's on that lovely little tip of Africa.
I've posted a bit, but I'm definately more of a reader than a poster at this point. I reckon this is as good an oppertunity as any to remedy that. :D

I've been feeling a little guilty, just peeking in the windows. Guess its time to join the party! I'm on the wrong side of the half-century mark, been fooling around with harmonicas for a little while, without much to show for it (this explains my screen name...Old Dog/new tricks). I recently started taking lessons with a pretty good teacher, things are looking up. Like another new member (who I don't think I know), I also live in Gloucester, Mass.
