So in mid-December, just before Christmas, I got a flu virus. It was pretty ugly and I was concerned that it may be Covid, that in mind I took 2 home tests, both of which showed negative. So far so good. Jolene has a weak immune system so I had been concerned. It was a relief when I popped negative. Just after New Year's I got ill again and it was different symptoms, and there were no home tests around by then. I did get hold of one after being sick for most of a week- and it came back positive! Meanwhile Jo had also picked the bug up from me. Her hospice nurse found her a test and sure enough she popped positive for Covid as well.
Neither of us has felt like playing at all so the instruments have stayed in their cases for like a month now.
Ironically we were pretty much past the hard part when we each tested positive. We're staying cautions anyway.
I think we are both very fortunate that we were not hit harder by all this. Eating well, resting well, and staying positive have been crucial.
Next week I plan to begin playing again.

Still having some congestion but every day is better. I will begin working with slide guitar Monday and when Jolene is ready she'll play guitar, I'll grab the harps, and we'll work on stuff here at home. Busking may be over for a time with the temps dipping too much but we will maintain an edge here!
Before long I expect to begin working with a harp rack as well.
