The Peavey Windsor is an awesome harp amplifier!!!
Way better than the blues junior, pro junior or deluxe.
This is an incredible amp without any mods and there is no feedback problemes with it!
There is also a "Power Sponge": this is like a volume speaker so you can crank up the tubes and get the tone that you want without any feedback because you reduce de volume of the speaker!
This is the best amp to build your own tone!
You can get a smooth fat and warm tone but you can also get a big crispy and hard sound!
It has volume, bass, midle, treble, master buttons,a litle boost switch and a very good reverb.
Spec.:-12"speaker blue marvel
-solid state preamp dan rectifier
-sponge power
-standby switch
-2x 12ax7 tubes
-EL34 or 6L6 output tubes
Don't jump to conclusion with the solid states part because this is awesome!

If money is no object, try a Harpgear Double Trouble. 18 watts through a pair of 8" speakers. Killer amp.

You should make a video, I'd like to hear it with harp.

EDIT: I guess KingoBad beat me to it.

I am using a Harp Gear DT on half the tracks on our new album. If you check out North Wind and Karma King at the MySpace below, that's all DT.

The other songs are a Vibro Champ.

I'd love to hear a clip too and know what kind of mike (I'm presuming high-Z) you are using and at what volume it does feedback on the Windsor? Thanks. d

I never tried a harp gear amp but I think it will be better than the windsor..
It's made for the harp!
But what I can tell you is that he is better than the blues junior, the pro junior and the deluxe.
I heard those amp and with no mods, you cannot get a good tone because the feedback come at 2 or 3...

bigd: I'm gonna try to make a video but I don't have a camera.. :/
for the feedback, if I am at 2 feet of my amp, the sponge power is at the max, I can put the master and the preamp volume to 6(12 o'clock) with a good treble and a good reverb, if I turn of the treble and reverb,
a litle bit more.
The windsor have my kinf of tone, warm, fat and it can be very crispy too.

Yeah the HarpGear Double Trouble is a killer amp.

I'd also recommend a Fender '65 Blackface Princeton Reverb Reissue.

I'm from quebec, this is why I don't speak english well!
I can't buy the harp gear because of the place were I leave.. and also because of the cost!
I bought the windsor 350 canadian, this is not expensive for this amp and it is simply incredible, he've got a big sound and the tone I like!

Yes, it was a weird camera angle. The camera was facing the amp at close to a 90 degree angle. Here's another one.

Joe L always sounds good! Joe, what convinced you to try a brand new Shure 520DX? No modifications?

Mostly because Joe can play through just about anything...

He also plays through new jt-40s sometimes as well as all of the regular standard mics you would normally choose.

You don't need a crystal or cm to sound great (although it sure doesn't hurt!)

That Peavey sounds like it could be most serviceable.

...and yes, I have been promising to post a Peavey Valve King 12 video for some time now. It's coming, I gotta learn how to play harp first...

Don't assume that a harp specific amp is the answer to all of your dreams. I had 2 well known brands a few years back. One was terrific, the other took a lot of fussing to get it to sound good. Listen to what other players like and try it out if possible. Oh yeah, just Greg Heumann, he'll always steer you right!
