Well, you gotta remember, American Idol is not looking for a great harp player, just a great vocalist, and instrumental virtuosity is EXTREMELY secondary. If the lead singer is a great player, but a terrible vocalist and no stage presence, his playing ability will never come across particularly well, wheras a great vocalist with good stage presence but lousy playing chops will far more easily get across to an audience (unless it's entirely filled with harp players), and that's the reality of things. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
Hey she was pretty good over all ! ---------- Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. - Charlie Parker
I only watch that show when the bad auditions are on, but I happened to catch that show. She was my favorite because she was different. Nearly everybody else that makes it that far all come from the same cookie cutter.
