So I have this bow on a very old reedplate that I put in boiling water years ago...
I have seen "claws" on Rockin Ron that focus bending power to a reedplate, but it's like 70 bucks and not including another 30-40 for international shipping, so a big no no.
Is there a nice DIY trick or simple Amazon tool that can achieve the same thing, even if a bit harder?
In my mind I want to pad up a couple of 5" flat pliers (without serration) and just grab the plate from both ends and bend as need be... but figured I would ask before :)
Thanks very much :)

Thanks Superbee! Yep, I always practice on blown plates
Will this pair do?

Or just flat without the nylon:

Oh no, wait, I think I need ones with 3-4mm wide needles so that I can work between reeds without damaging anything, right?

yep, i don't know but i reckon just the common sense things; avoid aggressive tools which will mark up the surfaces and choose appropriate sizes.
Gnarly, Thanks for noticing my rhyme. I havent heard Joe discuss his use of Crisco. I'd take the risk though.
