The old Buddha's Garden had a section to duke it out.
Funny thing I don't think it was ever used.

The Buddha man is cool he has strong opinions. I like
people with strong opinions that can back them up in
reality. Buddha has helped advance the harmonica a lot.
I consider his playing some of the best jazz fusion/world
music on the globe.

I left the Bushman site because it became mundane for me.
Nice people but not the topics that interested me.
I came here because I saw the Buddha posting and knew
it would probably be interesting.

If you haven't learned to play Sonny Terry you need to go back to school.

This argument is giving me an aneurysm. Thankfully, I've heard eHarp is a top brain surgeon. He's so good he can talk you through it over email.

Seriously though, I think one of the keys to why the talks on this forum are so good is we don't shut anybody down just because they have different opinions than us. In my years of surfing the web I have learned an important lesson: as easily as you can read a post you can skip a post.

In the other thread someone said that on other forums this wouldn't be tolerated. There are some things that won't be tolerated, even here, but I'd much rather hang out where different ideas are tolerated, even if that means we don't always agree with each other.

If ever there is someone threatening or abusing other members, let us mods know, but if you find yourself upset in a thread over what brand of harmonica to buy try to laugh it off.

You can sit in a room full of people or you can sit in a room with two friends. You may never hear anything you don't like in the room with two friends, but there is going to be a lot more going on in the room full of people. Wow. That was a terrible metaphor. Sorry about that. I thought I had something there, the whole chat room=real room thing. Nope. I got nothing.

I am old enough to have seen the message "Kilroy was here" complete with a cartoon character denoting him. It was on walls, equipment, everything.. it was famous and seen everywhere. Now I am seeing "Eharp was here" in the same places, what gives????

Rick,

it became a lunatic fringe forum and then eventually got hacked to death by the dark forces that float around this plane.

The original Garden started out so great. Giant music
archive of players around the world. All kinds of cool
information of all sorts. Too bad the dark side attacked it.

Gee Buddha, I cannot imagine why you might get hate mail or death threats. But you did the manly thing by shutting it down and bringing your dreary problems to someone else's forum. Nice.

Kind of stupid you guys are bashing each other. Leave Chris be, he acts how he wants to act, and he's got some good information. You could end all the problems by just not mentioning the issues anymore.

Zack, I thought this was the Duke It Out Section...

Chris is a blowhard and a boor, and he will not be happy until this place implodes, just like Buddha's garden did.

I act as I do, as well, Zack. I call bullshit when I see it. Chris may have good information, as you say, but that information can be had at his website, without subjecting the rest of to his dreary problems.

Rick, why can't you just let it be? Do your own thing. I'm pretty sure Chris won't just go around saying RICK IS WRONG and stomping all over.

I'm locking this thread. A lot of people--including Rick--seem to have forgotten the board creed today. I'll delete this thread tomorrow.

No more acting out, folks. You're better than this.

Thanks much.
