thanks guys Yea sometimes if the moon is right and my pipe has some of my favorite pipe tobacco in it,i can turn on the recorder and improv a song, most time i cant and half to turn off the recorder and rewind break out a pad and pencil, start over lol but i was able to make the lyricks on the fly here,I wish i could in public i freeze up trying to improv live,
Scrybe314 did you have any trouble finding the website with all the free jamtracks, theres a bunch exspecially of off key jazz tracks break out that Eflat they have a jam for it.You can post them there and get tips thats what the site is setup for, but ive registered it will log me in but then when i want to upload it asks again for my password i put the same one in i just did and it wont accept it,i been wanting to play around on there for 6 months but havent firgured out what im doing wrong, they have some real good players on there,im sure some of them are on this forum i can listen to there finished work and they have this guy called blueshiner man hes great lyricks and playing hes in the gold level players they rate you there hes not the only one but i exspecially like his stuff. My harmonica teacher Tony turned our class on the link so im passing the info on myself lots of free jamtracks ,good listens, and place to post. all they need now is some cold beer and crawdads,oh thinking about the big game later lol
Hobostubs, I found the site, and it's fantastic. I've been needing to get my Eb back in shape for a while (the only tunes I use it for are "Chameleon," "Mercy Mercy Mercy," and "Blue Monk") and this more than gives me an excuse. I haven't registered yet, as I lack any kind of recording gear at all. I wanna take a listen to as much stuff on here as possible, see where my playing is in terms of everyone else. And tell me about the game; I grew up in SW Louisiana, so you got me all nostalgic. Go Saints!
yea i learned when the saint come marching in 2 months ago,I guess it jinxed me im a cowboys fan,but i wouldnt mind the saints winning although i predicted at the beginnig of the season it would be the vikings it will be a good game maybe
Hobo- I recorded a version of 'Saints' with my guitar player. I have a lot of fun with it moving the pattern around on the harp to create different variations. Next year us Cowboy fans will have to come up with a better theme song.
I shifted the pitch in Audacity down an octave!

a little while back i seen a video i think with harp friends of someone doing that song with there guitarist,It was bad ass the harp and the guitar,i went though to watch it again and see if was you but i couldnt find it.Is it in harp friends,I did see the saints come marching by Germanharpist that was pretty cool ,he plays it pretty jazzy himself,i just learned how to play the simple 1st pos.version mines kinda cheasy lol but i would like to your video narcoran
Hobo- I don't have a video yet. I don't really have a good option for recording video. My guitar player is getting really good at mixing stuff down. I don't know what effects he puts on my harp. It all goes into the mixer clean. I only heard the unmixed version a couple of times. We were finishing up after that take. The next time I heard it he'd done all the polishing (except for the octave shift, I tried that in Audacity myself). I was really happy with the mix down. I like that static effect you've go going.
yea my 8track has around 6 old time static settings, from phograph,to AM radio,60's radio 50's radio just of static to add to a mix, somtimes ill get a digital hiss and if i cant take it out then sometimes ill add more makes it less noticable if that makes sence
