I took my Bassman 69 to a gig beginning of feb. Straight after the gig put the cover on and it went to our practice room. Due to covid lockdown i've only been able to access it last week and it's covered in mould- what's the best way to get rid of it? white vinigear?

I have not had that issue. Guess a dilute acid like vinegar would be worth a try.

I wonder if an automobile shop that does upholstering would have a real insight here? Or even a fabric shop?

And- Cheers Butter!

Last year for her birthday I got my mother's trumpet cleaned up. She wanted to start playing again. The case had been in the basement. I took it in and they cleaned the trumpet but they wouldn't touch the case. They said short of completely tearing it apart and replacing basically everything, a whole ship of Theseus thing, there really wasn't anything they could do that would keep it from coming back and they told me not to store anything in it. I still have it and may try an actual luggage shop take a look at it.

Of course with a case (leather and velvet) it is more important to make sure you've got all of it because you don't want mold getting into your instrument.

Online I found this- other people cleaning up amps...

Bleach diluted in water works wonders on mold almost instantly.

Try a capful or two in spray bottle of water on area inside amp to test.

Any of the Lysol sprays that is labeled as a antibacterial should do it. There is a product call Mold Stat that works great, but it is sold out everywhere because it kills Covid as well.

Just any mild cleaner diluted and then put that sucker in the direct sun for a couple days. Mold needs moisture, just keep it uncovered in the house for a while when you're done. I've never dealt with that problem, but i wouldn't be too concerned. More concerning would be the contact points for your tubes and jacks corroding. I'd pull them and put them back in a few times after you have the cab taken care of.
