Hi everyone... just thought I'd throw this idea out there. Years back we tried to do some group skype phone calls. At the time bandwidth was a lot more restricted and skype was using a PvP model that put a ton of strain on the hosts computer. I remember my computer used to freeze up every time someone knew entered the chat, but that was two computers ago, at least, for me. I know that a lot of shows and public events are getting cancelled right now (Kim Wilson was supposed to be playing 20 minutes from me tonight) and I was wondering if there was any interest in trying to do something online. I know there are already a couple discord servers related to harmonica out there. We could piggy back off that or start our own. I use Discord myself at this point, but Skype could be an option too, or YouTube chats.
Just a thought. Hopefully the public health measures will work and we'll stay healthy but we may want to figure out some ways to not die of boredom in the meantime.
