What’s up guys. Nate Vance here. New to MBH forum. I’m from the great state of Maine. Portland area to be exact. Just south of Portland in a very small town called buxton. Country as hell.
Took it for granted and moved to Nashville tn when I was 23. Lived there a year and some change and ended up here in Jacksonville Florida.

Iv been looking for some real harp players that take it seriously with little luck.

I’m a serious tenor singer that has a loud soulful range and would love to do some jamming/work with any musicians in the area or via Internet.

Anywhoo. I wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know a few things I’m interested in.

Later.

Welcome Nate! Can't help with personnel in Jacksonville but Littoral, on this forum, is on the Panhandle in Apalachicola. Jolene and I spent a while along the Panhandle early this year before moving on. We're now in cowboy country, Bandera Texas!
This is a good joint here. There are no dumb questions.

One of the "realest" harp players that take it seriously is "moi" - The Iceman! located a mere 60 miles N of Jacksonville in Brunswick, GA - I-95 at exit 38....however, this area doesn't have a lot of "scene" - especially if you are interested in blues...

No help on the Florida scene, but had to comment on some funny coincidences. I too am Nate, and when I was little I moved from Florida to Maine (and then back again.) I was actually born in NY and eventually made my way back there, but I spent some of my very early years in Tallahassee and in a little places called Callais in Maine, which the locals, for some reason, decided would sound more pretty if they pronounced 'Callous'.

Welcome to the forum. :)

Isaac Corbitt is over there and seems to be appreciated by a lot of people. A little raucous I say but people dig it. You're in JJ Grey territory and if you don't know that stuff check it out. Think of it as a cultural tutorial. Great music, and some harp.
I'm in the panhandle pretty far away, Apalachicola. Awesome town and beach. Don't hesitate to say hi if you'll be this way someday. I played Chicago blues for years but mostly do groove happy stuff these days.
