It’s been a while but I think I used to do it in 3rd position
Then, if I’m remembering properly, I found a video where J J Milteau was playing in 5th position and I started doing that too. I don’t recall which way I preferred though. I think 3rd benefits from an overblow on the 6 if you want to move into the middle of the harp, but again it’s a fairly distant memory because I think I practiced to play with a band which never played it again

Am with a G chromatic in 3rd. We've done it this way for a long time.

That’s a great idea.

Here’s the URL for J J Milteau video I was thinking of.

5th position works really nice, and you could also play it on a natural minor tuned harp.

Thank you Bee. Jolene is the driving force there and she gets a lot of props from your truly. She does what needs done and I get to go out front.

Madcat does a wonderful version of this song - he prefers 5th position.

I play it on a natural minor (or sometimes a harmonic minor, because I've got a low D harmonic minor and it still works out about the same.)

Here's a version with me playing 3rd position. I need to bluff the head a bit as there is a flat-sixth (6OB) in the melody.

I should learn 5th properly

@SuperBee - yes a great little venue out in East London. Music (all genres) 7 nights a week. Gets a party crowd that come for the music not to talk over the band!
