Um...errr............ snowman, I'm not quite sure that "hook up" has the same meaning that it used to. Just sayin'........

Tom, I think it is context sensitive. I think you can use it either way as long as it doesn't come off as confusing.
Language is funny though. I keep hearing British users say something is homely, and for them it means attractive. The best one though, is in England your friends may come around in the morning and knock you up.

it was a totally platonic question--- meaning lets jam --have guitar an amp---and I go to all the jams
Tom u should contact them and do a demo ---don't hook up with them though--put table up etc
