I think I found a new use for Harp Ninja (the app, Not Joe Spiers!)
I've been doing a song in 2nd position, but was wondering how it would sound in 3rd position. I think I found an easy way to tab it out, I've been using a D harp in 2nd position to play in the key of A. If I set the Harp Ninja to a G harp, then play my D harp in 2nd position, won't it show me the notes I need to play a G ha-p in 3rd position?
You can set HarpNinja to display any combination of key and position either through the settings or the Circle of Fifths
Is that what you're looking to do? So set it to Key G and select 3rd position (A) to see the notes laid out for that key/scale. Then whatever you play in 2nd position will show up in the layout as you said (if the notes are in that tuning/key/scale).
I use it to work out the best tuning/key/scale/position for songs all the time, probably the most use I have for it.
All the inbuilt tunes can be transposed to any key/scale/tuning/position, as long as the notes are available. ---------- Paul Cohen aka Komuso Tokugawa HarpNinja - Learn Harmonica Faster Komuso's Music Website

Joe Spiers posts as HarpWrench. He made me a nice one, one time. As to the OP, I use a digital tuner for pitch clues, haven't found a need yet for Harp Ninja--my head is full of theory . . . How much does it cost?
@Gnarly There's a misconception that HarpNinja is just a visual tuner, and while that's one use it's far from the only use - and to me it's a tiny part of the utility. I personally use it mostly now days to work out the best harp key/tuning/position for a song I'm working as it can get quite gnarly(!) working through that in your head sometimes. There's other uses too.
