1. Sign up for the free version of Dropbox and download onto your desktop computer 2. Upload your mp3 or wav sound file and place it in their Public Folder 3. Hover over the file and click on the chain icon to view the Dropbox link and copy and paste it into a word processing software on your computer.
The link will look something like this but with your own dropbox file name
You then need to delete the www. and replace with dl. Next delete the ?dl=0 at the end of the line and finally place Quote Marks before the https and at the end of the line.
I don't have the paid version Nate and the public folder is still there. When you upload your mp3 you are given the option to put it directly into the public folder.
It appears that only folk who had dropbox in 2012 have the Public Folder. The following could be a workaround for those that can't access the public folder.
Sign in to Dropbox on your web browser and view your uploaded files. Or if you have none right click and hold and drag an mp3 file from your pc into the dropbox web page.
Wait until it is uploaded and then click the Share box alongside the mp3 and it will bring up another window. On the bottom right, click create link wait a bit and then click copy link and hopefully you will then be able to use that link to carry out the above procedure for producing the audio player with your mp3 on it.
