Found this interesting video on YouTube. We can never get enough info on vibrato techniques can we? Looks as though Lee may be doing some instructional videos.

Thanks for pointing that out, tooka.

It's one of the most useful vids I've seen in a long time, on what is one of the most challenging techniques.

Great stuff.

I think this is the same kind of vibrato buddha uses.

That's not you Isaac. I know it looks like you but I had you cloned from the DNA I collected when you barfed all over my house.

So does my clone act as a target for dog training too? If so, I really feel for the poor guy! ;)

Sonny Boy Williamson II does NOT use the jaw vibrato. Just check any video with him on it on Youtube.

He uses his diaphragm and sometimes his throat.

You will not see his jaw moving up and down or quivering during his vibratos. You will however notice his cheeks puffing in and out.

I find that the jaw vibrato which I learned from Buddha is superior when it comes to the blow bends and overblows. It's excellent when you need to have subtlety. So I'm not knocking on it at all.

I just felt it's important to clarify SBW II didn't use it. He uses the diaphragm vibrato which is my main choice as well. (I've put the most hours into it compared to all other vibratos).

I use the "Buddha" vibrato all the time...especially on bends and obs. Unless I am playing a blues, which sounds great with the deeper vibrato, mouth vibrato is prettier.

I really need to learn that vibrato. Larry did something
like it on chromatic.
