Thanks, Snowman! I've never played a cruise, or taught on one, but I'd love to do that. Seems to me that a savvy blues cruise entrepreneur might want to take advantage of the teaching angle that I can offer. Either book the Blues Doctors and let me do a value-added set of blues harmonica workshops--or just hire me to do that, and let me sit in w/other folks.

I'm up for either--but I've, ahem, got a day gig at Ole Miss. So mid-December through mid-January is a good season.

October, on the other hand, is impossible until I retire.

Looks like it's sold out.

well then retire---just kidding----

this about my 12th--we fill out a thing at the end ---Who would u like to see on the cruise? --I always put adam gussow and guitar jack

I also put on comment card ==more clinics--so far Lee Oscar and or sugar blue have done them--Lee oscar a fair bit --clinic and selling his stuff

I hope I get more assertive with blues cruise boss's cuz for me 2 things missing on cruise

1] an open jam room from 10-4---cheap used amps and a simple pa----all small all and inexpensive--- have 4-6 people who know amps and pa's sign up for time slots --

2] clinics everyday 1 small amp---where there is an instructor and or clinic open say 1-3---so If I want to pick teachers brain or If someone wants to learn octave splits whatever i could show them--vice versa--and exchange if u will

right now they have a pro am jam, pro's and amateurs
and the projam at midnight ---always out on the deck -one night Tommy castro hosts-next night curtiss salgado etc---its so cool to see yr favorite guitar hero play with yr favorite key boardist etc---

the pro jam is where a player like u would turn heads---
I love the traditional harp players---I mean that--

However I think there are 2 kinds of players
1 traditional blues harp player---primarily holes 1-6 and don't get me wrong their really good---but they play strictly blues harp not the instrument

2] Instrument players who LOVES the blues - but play the instrument holes 1-10---sugar blue does it, albeit too busy---but he plays the instrument---J Ricci plays the instrument 1-10 fast but not too busy, all the time-combining old school with new school---A Gussow plays the instrument 1-10 fast but not too busy, all the time-combining old school with new school

People listening can't figure out why they enjoyed a player like yrself so much---simple: u don't hear it everyday---and the instrument is being played -not just blues harp

sorry I have to wipe the brown off my nose

pt is; Id be stoked to see u sit in at pro jam and see other pro players watching and asking each other --" who is this guy again -I want him on my jam or next cd
