I know that this subject has probably been discussed at length, but since I haven't been on the Forum for awhile, I'd like to inquire again, as some past information may be outdated.
Who are the top 5 or so harmonica repair technicians out there today? I'm getting back into playing again and need a repair on a Suzuki Firebreath (broken reed), along with some other assorted harps.
Your feedback is much appreciated. Thanks.

Top Five Repair Guys – in no particular order:
Mark Prados – Honolulu, HI - goes by MP on this forum markprados@aol.com
Mike Peace out of Tulsa, OK. Route 66 Custom Harmonicas Route 66 Custom Harmonicas
Harvey Berman – Pensacoloa, FL Harvey Harps
Burke Treishmann – Albany, CA Open Door Harmonicas
Greg Jones – Spring Branch, TX Official Harp Tech for Seydel Harmonicas http://www.1623customharmonicas.com/ 16:23 Custom Harmonicas
I have referred many customers to all these guys. They are trustworthy, competent, honorable guys who stand behind their work and are assets to the harmonica community.
I did not include myself on this list simply because I choose not to make repairs a focus of my business. Whenever I get inquiries, I refer customers to one of these guys. I am certain that you can also include guys like Andrew Zajac, Richard Sleigh and Joe Spiers on this list, but, if I am not mistaken, they all focus more on building custom harps than doing repair work.

I had a bad SS reed on A Seydel Session Steel that needed replacing and Greg had me send him just the reed plate...he repaired it in no time and at a very reasonable price. You'll get the best advice as to who the go-to guys and gals are from this forum, like Rockin' Ron, Tom, Greg, Gary. You'll also find out who to avoid. Although there are endless opinions posted here, you'll find some of the best advice, tips, and general knowledge available anywhere on the web for harp players. What is great, too, is the fact that it doesn't matter what your playing level is at, you can feel comfortable having an interchange with accomplished players like Jason, Brendan and others.

Thanks Tom. I work mostly on mostly Hohner. I do not have Suzuki Reeds, nor Seydel reed. ----------
