Hey guys. As a relatively new player with his right arm missing below the elbow I've been working on acoustic cupping and found a way to make it work. Harder (but not impossible) however, is cupping a full sized bullet mic.

I discovered the Rackit recently, and was thinking of going for the purchase, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this specific set up (one hand and a rackit)?

Appreciate any help you guys might offer.

I don't have any experience with the Rackit, but Greg is a good guy. I'll see if I can put up the bat signal for you and summon him to the thread.

Hi, John

I have sold several Rackit!s to people with disabilities of various kinds. The feedback has been very positive. Helping people with disabilities was always in my mind during the development of the product.

I have a money back guarantee policy on all my products so the best way to know if this will work for YOU is to simply buy one and try it. If you like it - great. If not, I'll be happy to refund the full price of the product. The trial period is 2 weeks.

More info on the product, of course, at Bulletini Mics

Cheers!

Thanks, Nate - for alerting me to the thread!

My couple of cents, Greg is among the best out there. He modded a mic for me some years ago and it's still going strong as ever. I have yet to hear one complaint about his products or service and he's been in business, I think, 10 years or more.

I hope to afford a Bulletini one of these days. I have no doubt it's a great product.

I own one. If you leave one of the plugs in on the one end it is compressed mild to total. You could also use your hand or bicep to cup it I would think. Greg did a great job on the design and construction. I do find it is not the same sound as cupping with hands though as the plastic reverberates the sound in the tube. For a solid amplified rack set up it is the best out there IMO. I have added some gray acoustic foam panel pieces on the inside to deaden it more. I would give it a shot and see how it works. The top 20 songs or so below are using it with the exception of the first song which is acoustic in my hands. Walter

Nate, Greg, Jbone, and Walter - thanks very much for your feedback. I'll go ahead with it then.

Walter, I just listened to some of your stuff and saw that news report from 80's, really admire your skill in improvising.

thanks and good luck! A bit of trivia on that newscast - Gary Primach is tossing some $ in my case and we both shared Jimmy Carl Black on drums in Austin. Walter

I'm a stroke survivor with one good hand (my right, fortunately). I demoed the Rackit and the Bulletini at Spah last August. I found I could get enough of a one-handed cup with the Bulletini to give me a tone I like. I'm not after a super dirty sound, and the bulletini works great. The Rackit worked, but not as well as the Bulletini, and it was much easier to switch harps than with the Rackit.
