I am happy to report that Jeff Silverman and I believe we have found somebody who is ready, willing, and able to reanimate the majestic, funky carnival of blues harmonica excellence known as Hill Country Harmonica in May 2018, a year and a half from now.
No promises! And no names, for now. But I am genuinely excited for the first time in years.
If and when it happens, it will absolutely, positively happen at Foxfire Ranch. Bill and Annie Hollowell love the event and very much want it to happen again.

For those interested - there is a facebook page dedicated to the 2018 HCH event. There are pics and videos from the first three , just to wet your whistle or for those who were not at the first three HCH bashes. the address is https://www.facebook.com/groups/hillcountryharmonica/ ----------

We will be coming all the way from New zealand, now that's dedication. We were in Clarksdale around a month ago, had a ball and i got to have a great conversation with Deak Harp in his shop. He nearly talked me into buying a 350$ (nz) harp but unfortunately her indoors gave me that 'pursed lip' look.. Ha..got my own back a few days later in a shoe shop in Memphis. I gave her the male version of the pursed lipped look.(no i didn't cry) What is it with women and shoes?

Indigo, we like to play harp, and, if we are lucky, they like to dance to it. Harmonicas and shoes are just two sides of the same coin.

Now that I'm retired, I'm going to try to make it. Since Deak Harp and Watermelon Slim now live nearby maybe they could be there. I would like to see Slim again. The guy cracks me up.

For those of you not on the Facebook page.... So far - Charlie Sayles, Jimi Lee, Brandon Bailey and of course Adam and the Blues Doctors -will be instructors / performers. Not sure if there are any other announcements forthcoming. They hope to begin registration next month.... ----------
