During the same YouTube noodling-around session as when I discovered TC Slim (who we now know is Tom Cocks), I also came across another really awesome harmonicist who does some pre-war and country blues style playing -- YukiHarp.

Here's her doing some pretty kick-ass Sonny Terry:

and there's a few more:

YukiHarp is a great player and she kind of bops her head while playing. She just seems like she loves playing and loves the music. And it's funny that she makes some of her videos in the bathroom.

Definitely worth a click and a watch.

That's Jon Vaughans wife. (hope I've spelt his surname right). Jon and Yuki are both good harp players and based in the UK. Although Yuki originally comes from Japan if my memory serves me correctly.
Yet another good example of the wealth of harmonica talent on this side of the pond.

Kingley, what is going on over there in England that you have so many amazing harmonica players? Apparently you can't swing a dead cat in the UK without hitting another superb harp player.

And how lucky is her husband that she's a harmonica player??? My wife only tolerates my playing, and begrudgingly at that.

Now we just have to arrange a jam session between TC Slim and YukiHarp and have a Pre-War harmonica EXTRAVAGANZA. Get organizing, Kingley!!!! :)

Amen to the sentiments above. Yuki and Jon were at the recent NHL harmonica festival in Bristol UK, lovely people and excellent harp players both.

I liked the fox chase but I couldn't help thinking it sounded like one yapping dog, not a pack. She needed some bigger and smaller dogs in the mix. :)
