Phil Chess, who with his brother Leonard, founded Chess Records, has died. The Chess brothers, of course, helped launch the careers of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry and countless others. Phil was 95. His brother Len was only 52 when he died in 1969.

RIP indeed. Where would we be without Chess Records? One of the wonders of the world.

@MP -- You were probably thinking of Phil's older brother, Leonard Chess, who passed away over 30 years ago. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
