I was at Balboa Park yesterday. My son is now in two youth symphony groups that meet back to back so when I take him, I get to hang out in the park for 4 hours instead of two. I got a chance to play a bit with some of the buskers I have come to know and I met a new to the park busker. I thought I heard a muted trumpet in the distance, but it turned out to be a nearby harmonica player with some pretty good tone. He invited me to play a bit when I mentioned I played. He commented "Are you a professional, you must be!", I think he will do fine busking :-).

Just on a lark, I did a search when I got home on Balboa Park Buskers and found this recent article that focuses on one of the buskers I frequently see at the park. As I was leaving the park yesterday I saw Chet talking with the harmonica player I had just met.

If I lived out there I think I'd live half at Coronado Beach and half at Balboa Park.
