I buy reeds in packs of 5 from hohner Europe...but I dunno if you can do that...I think they insist you deal with hohner USA. And I have heard complaints from others that they can't get the reeds from hohner USA. I reckon I would call them. Apart from new.. You can use a reed from golden melody, sp20, standard marine band, rocket or crossover. What is the key and slot? When I am looking for secondhand reeds I usually try and avoid the 4 and 5 draw but instead look for an equivalent. If you can't get an exact match its ok to retune, probably a whole step is ok, but I prefer to get closer if I can. You can also cut a longer reed to fit if it's the correct width. They will go way sharper when you trim them though so takes some retuning, best to be using something that started out a fair bit lower pitched than where you want to end up if you go that way.

9 dollars a reed plus shipping.....20 reeds= 180 bucks
buy a used harp for parts or send it to someone for a tune-up
EDIT Had to go back and check again since I could not believe it. Looks like a pack of 10 so not so bad if you need 10.

Supe, MBD key of A maj. 5 draw. Went real flat, now just slightly higher then the 5 blow. I have several of old harps laying around, even more LO reed plates. Those reeds would be sacrilegious. LOL
Thanks Bob, i was looking around there last eve. I'm not figuring on buying 10 but that is probably cheep considering the price of the harp. Supe's approach seems more my style. Gota go, sitting in tonight. Rock on Brothers...BN

If using recycled reeds, 5 blow from a Bb would be a good reed. Or a 5 blow from another A harp is only a half step lower and would be easy to tune up. 5 blow from a B harp is a bitsharp but would tune down ok.
Most likely might be a 3 draw from a D harp. Just need to tune up a half step. 3 draw from Eb would be ideal. And from an E also ok.
If your striking out on those, 5 blow from a C can be done but have to drop it a whole step.
I try to avoid replacing 5 draw with another 5 draw from a blown harp because I feel it's too likely they'll also be damaged.
3 blow from a hi G would fit too but probably unlikely to have that one lying around...3 blow from an F sharp might also be rare, 3 blow from an F is a whole step flat but can tune up ok
if I'm thinking straight...this is all off the top of my head. I made a chart of all these which I think you can find on Tom's blue moon harmonica Fb page.
Re LO reeds, I have used LO reeds to repair a Hohner 365 (9 slot to mend the 11 slot iirc) and they also are pretty close to some of the Hohner MS reeds, but I don't think they line up with the "handmade" (eg Marine Band) harps. If they measure up for width though, you can trim them for length and they're good reeds..,but will go sharp when you trim them and may play a bit differently to the authentic reed due to different milling. But then again, difference may be very small and no problem for practical purposes.

Yeah, Richards is good. It's a pdf. Mine is an excel worksheet which allows you to sort and see all the substitutions at a glance. I found Richards a bit tiring to look at. It does the job though. I use mine to keep track of inventory too.
