Here's a great bit of playing, groove-solid as hell, that deserves more likes and comments. I'm amazed that I was the first to comment, more than two and a half years after it was uploaded. Come on, people!

Excellent song. Great groove and I like how he builds his solo with tension and it just swings like crazy. And the drummer is all over the harp riffs, just classic stuff. I enjoyed that a lot.

I hate jump blues, except for Gatemouth Brown's.

Jinx, just curious, are all 1183 of your posts negative?

I get to see DW periodically here in Maine. He's always got a great groove even when he puts different musicians together. I couldn't view the video clearly enough to see if that's his regular drummer.

A few weeks ago I was fortunate to see another great blues drummer from Maine, Per Hanson. Filled in with the Juke Joint Devils and had an unbelievable groove.

Well, I love jump blues when played well and this is great. Here is a great tune by Aki Kumar (off a terrific album called "It Takes Three" - with Dave Barrett and Gary Smith).

MEHarpDoc, he liked one the other day. I've been trying to figure out what he likes. Seems to like slower stuff, which is fine, but you're right, just saying 'don't like' isn't very constructive.

By the way, I didn't mean to highjack the thread or turn it away from DW Gill who is sensational.

@ME.HarpDoc, I think you might be suffering from some form of adaptive ignorance or achromatiosia.
