Maybe it's a DP, for Dave Payne? I've seen it on a couple harps of mine that came in for repairs, but didn't ask who else had worked on them. ---------- www.spiersharmonicas.com Harp repair and upgrade menu

It's not a full custom I've got, but I do have a harp from Dave (well, actually, two harps- reeds on one, comb on another) and there are no marks on it. (Sweet comb though! He used poly on it, which made it smell for a while (I've got some smell sensitivities) but eventually it cured, and now it's my best looking harp- I through some of the Seydel antiqued bronze covers on a reclaimed chestnut comb- it's a thing of beauty.

Could it an "H"? Deak Harp has done a lot of custom Marine Bands with rounded ends and cover bracing bolts. He embosses and tunes when he customizes, too. His earlier harps were sealed and painted standard, then he started fancy paint jobs. Last I heard he had tried customizing other Marine Band series harps some, too. I think he marks his plates and dates them. ----------

How about a picture? We could be guessing forever . . . One thing is for sure, it's not me, I don't sign my work.

It could have been me, but really unlikely. I think I've made two harmonicas where I accepted money a few years ago. Would have been somewhere between 2010-2012. -Dan Ridgeway ---------- Ridge's YouTube

I agree with Gnarly. We need pics. You can't leave us hanging like this. I think harp players are all really frustrated sleuths!
