Is there a way to record into your computer the audio of a youtube video?

Im not really sure, but maybe if you ran a line out of you speaker output and into your mic input, maybe this would work. I'm not up to date on all the recording computer stuff, but i thought it might work.

http://www.youtube-mp3.org/

The easiest way to do it-you can then burn it to CD or save to your computer.

tmf714's tip really is the most convenient. For occasions when that doesn't work (which is the case sometimes e.g. the clip is too long) you can switch audacity to record whatever is going on in your speakers.

In Audacity, select 'Stereo Mix' from the input options (normally a mic input of some kind).

However whether 'Stereo Mix' appears or not depends on your sound card I think. It also records other things going on, email alerts and so on, so best not to do that while recording.

Just remember, technically you are pirating if you take other people's stuff without permission. I have, occasionally downloaded people's stuff off YouTube, but I always ask permission. Lots of people who don't have albums are just happy somebody enjoys their stuff.

That's awsome! Didn't know it was that easy.

It would be excelent for listening to harp lessons at work. That way you don't have to use data
