Wow man that's nice. I'm thinking of making a big case. Ive been stealing ideas here and there. That's very nice.
Check out this single case. It's kinda funny. Dude wants like $900 for it. Lol. But it gave me some good ideas.

Sorry i suck at embedding stuff . It's a steampunk style single case. I dunno Nothin about steam punk, but it looks cool. Guy had a guitar in the same style. It's pretty wild. I wanna make a big case like it to hold everything. Similar to what you have there. I ve Got plenty of industrial parts gears n such, to make it with, sitting around the shop. i just need a good case to start with. Anyone have any suggestions. I was thinking maybe a briefcase from the flea market and just have the harps laying flat instead of standing like that style.
The case i use most is my seydel 6 harp softcase. It's great. Small and easy to bring everywhere.
How much did that thing set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

Well, I can say what I`ve paid for, but it is much more wort. The material and work itself is fantastic. Every detail seems at the right place. The sad thing is: it is the last case made by Andreas Larisch, there is no way to get another one.

Well, here's mine. The top board sits on cleats that are fastened to the case sides. Underneith is pedal, cords, mics, tools, backup harps, and other stuff. I feel that the stand on end setup, as the OP shows us, is better. More harps in a smaller space and the harps air out better. Just my 2 cents worth...BN

Wish I knew how to embed pictures. A friend made me two new leather 7 hole cases with belt loops. They are unbelievable!!!They have the motto of "Givin the Devil the Bluz!!!" Some great art work( one of the devils, sax, and harmonica work),was drawn by an inmate from my prison ministry. Again unbelievable. One has my layout of KC Bluz! This is quality work and Leather. Lots of color( some matches my Harley colors)and attention to detail, which includes a soft leather detachable dust cover. If anyone can give me any tips, I'll try to embed. ---------- And I Thank You !! Put your pics on photobucket. Select pic and hit share. then left ckick HTML for that pic. This copies the pic. Then come back here and right click and hit paste. Now the HTML address will appear in the message window. It's a PITA at first but you will get the hang of it eventually. Good luck...BN

Very nice case but foam of any type is very bad for harps. Harps need to breathe. If they don't, they retain moisture and everything from dust to rust gets in there. Dust mixed w/ moisture seizes reeds and rust damages your reed plates. Also the inside of your cover plates take gas. I use leather. ---------- I'm out of the Biz for a while till I get over my burnout. You can try HarveyHarp or arzajac, or just look the page nacoran put together under Forum Search. .

MP, I know you are right. This has served me well for many years but I need to redesign. One thing about LO harps, no rust! I have an old Umco tackle box here that would work great. I may put that into service. It's a big bastard!...BN

@ Barley, LOs are almost indestructible. If I liked the way they looked, sounded (they squeal), and screwed together I'd use them. ---------- I'm out of the Biz for a while till I get over my burnout. BN, I used a similar approach to yours in converting a case.

Woah, that is nice.
Mine has that soft foam on the lid that keeps harps from moving around. Also stops air flow thru harps when closed, not that there is much air flow in a closed case. I don't know, the foamophobia thing has merit but I have had no problem. I do clean my harps occasionally. What I find to be hard on my harps is beer and peanuts!..BN

I'm quite foam o phobic myself. Mainly I dislike the idea of creating snug little pockets of moisture, but I don't like the wAy some foam ages...but that case from the OP...could've sworn there were photos here...was quite swish hey?
I've been using the same old home-fitted briefcase for a while. It's ok. I store the harps horizontally, mouthpiece facing up, but there's only room for 13 in the tray. But I carry mics, cables, pedals, power supplies and misc items in there too. Original idea was to carry 28 harps and I could do that if I wanted, just don't really need to. I like home made cases for stuff like this. Anyway, Nice case Mario!

I was wondering it keeping a desiccant pack something like this in a harp case would help with moisture. Or perhaps a laptop battery and a silicon heater to keep the harps at about 98 degrees, dry and warmed up to play!

I use something similar in my gun cabinets. They work great. Never thought of it for a harp case. ---------- "Trust Those Who Seek The Truth. Doubt Those Who Say They Have Found It."
