No connection to this whatsoever but I've seen battery powered amps discussed here.
All the best,

that seems cool, however it looks to be more of a stereo amp.

i have by far, the best battery powered amp for harmonica ever.

Ok,
What is the best battery powered amp?
My daughter needs one for her guitar, but I'm sure if I bought her one she would let me use it ??.

You could go about it the other way and try to find a portable battery for your amp. Battery technology is going gangbusters right now. It's probably easier to find a portable battery and a regular amp.

It also depends on the use. My friend had a little amp for his bass. Not a great speaker, but it had a headphone jack. It was really designed to be a quiet, portable way to practice. (I think it was by Pignose).

I have a Vox DA5. It sounded better to my ears than the Roland Cubes, plus comes with a 6.5" speaker instead of the 4 to 5" speakers in many portable amps. It runs on A/C power, standard alkalines or rechargeable ni-cads. It takes 6 C cells, but can also be powered with AA batteries by the use of C to AA adapters. And by using the low power setting you actually get pretty good capacity from the AA's as well as the lesser weight.

Interesting what could be the name of a good portable battery to be plug to your amp?

I have a regular portable amp it is a VOX (dont know the model)

Kinda works for harp.

As I read is there any way to put something external to make it run with batteries??

+1 for The Black Pit. I've had my DA5 for a few years and I grow more and more fond of its sound(s). They are discontinued, but can be had for cheap on Ebay, etc.
