I've been offline (on purpose) for several days but presently, I'm having problems logging into my FB account at the moment. Who knows if it's a hacking problem, but they've been asking for ID's among other things, but I'll keep you posted once things settle down.

I'll pass the word along. Careful sharing any ID. Make sure you go through FB channels rather than relying on any emails that you got so you don't accidentally give any info to hackers.

Glad to hear you're ok Bob.
When I try to send you a message via fb, I can't. It tells me that your account has been deactivated. I'm afraid you may have to contact the dreaded hotline.

Good stuff glad all is well with Bob (well, apart from the Facebook thing) and I wasn't crying just had something in my eye ! ;-)
It would be good if someone out there (over the pond) got out and about and filmed Bob live for YT and all of us. No idea how often Bob gigs but would be great to see more footage of the man live and blowin'!

It may be a name thing. I've been on Facebook since 2007 and often had made up variations of my name; I had no indication it wasn't kosher.
Then a while back I had an argument online with some passive aggressive bastard (is saying passive aggressive ok, here?) and he reported me to Facebook for "having a fake name" (?!?)
They did the same thing; made me prove my name to them, then they locked it. I cannot change my name again, even from Daniel to Danny.

Well, now I'm back on FB and they made me prove that I'm a real person (damn, since when did I ever not exist, lol) and so they shut me down and they've done this to a number of people and made them use their actual given name and required you to upload ID's.

Danny and Bob's experiences are just two of the many reasons I steer clear of social media sites like FB, Twitter, Linked-In, and the great and powerful Googleplex.
The digital demigods don't exactly strike me as benevolent.
(yes, I'm both backwoodsy AND paranoid).
