Hi folks it's geordiebluesman back from the dead, or at least the very nearly dead. I had a bit of a Motorcycle accident a while back and things were touch and go for a while, I did a lot of damage to my chest and couldn't play Harp for a long time, which was a pain and surprisingly depressing. As jonie Mitchell said, "you don't know what you've got till it's gone", I didn't realize how much I love to play Harmonica until I couldn't!. I kept busy whilst I couldn't work building and playing a 3 string Cigar Box Guitar and I found a like minded musical soul who plays Guitar well and has the same sense of humour as me!. It's really fantastic to find someone to play music with who also likes to smoke a bit of weed talk shit and who makes me throw my head back and roar with laughter every time we get together! We have formed a comedy acoustic duo and played a few well received gigs, I will see if I can post some vids. Anyway I just wanted to say Hi and keep on Harpin!

Hi Geordie!
Welcome back!
Wondered where you'd been. Sounds like you've had a hell of a time. It's a bugger not being able to play.
Hope you make (have made) a full recovery stay well as possible. Would love to see some of your vids.
Cheers!

I get angsty when I just forget to grab a harmonica on the way out the door. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't play for a prolonged stretch. Glad you are recovering.
Welcome back.

I'll be lazy and simply echo the sentiments of the others. Nice to see you back, and it's good you came through the worst of your injury woes.

Here's to your full recovery Geordiebluesman!! I ride a little myself, came pretty close myself to taking a vacation from playing last week. I'd like to hear the story of "The Wreck" sometime, but that's probably a different forum.

Thanks for the good vibes lads, for the Heathen benefit, I hit some oil, the bike flipped me about 20 foot skywards shattering my right foot and pelvis, I came back to earth and broke most of my ribs and badly damaged my lungs,I broke my elbow and my Testicles ruptured!. By a pure fluke my brother who is a tree surgeon was working on a tree in a cherry picker and saw the accident over the rooftops!, he recognised it was me and dialled 999, probs saved my life. That makes 4 times I have thought I was a dead man and lived, Yeeha! life is good!

Great to have you back man! Take care of yourself so that your luck don't run out. Post some CBG vids soon. You can call your duo "the three balls duo" that'll get some attention for entirely wrong reasons. ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube

Yikes!!! That sounds like a damn hard hit. I think I'm sorry I asked. You probably shouldn't do that kind of thing to your brother.

Hi OW, I was hoping you were still in the loop dear boy, I tried to upload some video of the comedy duo but due to my lack of tech savvy I have failed!, what I need is a small child to do it for me coz it's easy as farting to them little buggers. My duo is called Tenacious Divvent, ( Divvent is a Geordie word that means Don't), the name came about after several beers and joints when I said we were a bit like Tenacious D and my guitar player said more like Tenacious Divvent! you twat, Te He, D or Dee in Geordie means Do so Jack and Kyle are Tenacious do and we are Tenacious don't.
