The most common video hosting site is YouTube. Assuming the vodeo on FB is a YouTube video on the FB page click on the little YouTube icon at the bottom right of the video screen. This will open a new window where you will see the video on YouTube instrad of embedded in FB. Below the video and the title of the video there three little icons: + Add to; > Share; ...More. Click on Share. That will open a small window which shows html code. There are three options: Share, Embed, Email. Click on Embed. Then copy and paste the code into your MBH post and viola! The video is here for us to enjoy. There are other video hosting websites like Vimeo which I am not as familiar with but I can't help but think that the process is similar to YouTube. ---------- Tom Halchak www.BlueMoonHarmonicas.com
I think what hvyj is referring to is this scenario. You shoot a video with your phone and upload it to fb directly from the phone. Then once it is on fb, can it then be linked/embedded on to the MBH site?
I have tried to figure this out and have asked more web savy people than me if it can be done. But the general concensus is that Facebook is a ball hog and won't let what they figure is theirs be sent elsewhere. ----------
You can right click on the video and copy its URL and post it here. (Does that link work for other people.)
I'll keep testing to see if I can figure out the embed wrap.
What I've figured out so far- hit play on the video and then right click and copy the url. (If you right click it without hitting play you seem to just get the freeze frame image they show you). Then, paste the url into this:
I haven't figured out how to turn off autoplay yet though.
Okay, get the url like I said above and then paste it into this-
