I bought the Fender Super Champ X2 for both harp and guitar and I've run into a weird issue that only happens when using it with harp:
The built-in FX (for a little delay or reverb) will randomly decide to emit constant white noise. Toggling the FX to another setting makes the noise go away but it quickly comes back.
I'm using an Ultimate 57 with a bulletizer and an impedance matching transformer. I think the digital FX section somehow gets overloaded.
The issue doesn't happen with guitar and Fender won't cover any investigative repair since this isn't the amp's intended use.
I'm a little disappointed but I guess I'll just have to buy some pedals.
This is just friendly warning to anyone else considering one of these for a harp amp.

that is very odd. i've used a VibroChamp XD for years and never encountered anything like this. Nor have i heard of anyone else having a problem with the range. i dont know for sure but i would have expected the DSP effects to be the same in XD and X2

thanks SuperBee, yep they look the same.
I'm glad to hear you've had good luck. Makes me wonder if I have a lemon and they'll never honor the warranty because I sometimes use the amp for harp.. argg.

I sincerely doubt it. Don't get me wrong....Fender has shown their true colors in several different ways in the last few years in terms of cost cutting and quality control. If they dishonored the warranty just because you play harp through it, they'd have a hard time living that one down with the Better Business Bureau. Fender knows their amps are good for harp and that harp players use them a great deal. Heck...when the Excelsior came out a few years ago, the promo video of it even depicted a harp player using it, because for once they were trying to market an amp directly to harp players.
I'd get it to a local authorized Fender dealer/tech and have them deal with the Fender warranty. Not like the tech would even have to disclose that it'd been used for harp anyhow.... ----------

Thanks Hawkeye,
I posted to the Fender forums and they seem willing to review the case and work with the shop so I"m hoping things work out. There are really only 3 possibilites:
1 - The amp has a failure that can be repaired 2 - The DSP has a design flaw and can't handle harp 3 - Maybe I have something like a bad impedence xformer or XLR cable and it's pilot error.
I'll let you all know the outcome, I appreciate the responses.
