I just changed out the stock combs on a set of SP20s. I bought seven Anodized Aluminum combs. Definitely a real step up from the stock combs. The combs make the harp very airtight for a quick response and easy to tweak for overblows(draw plates have been flat sanded). I really like the feel of the mouthpiece. Super smooth for tongue blocking. I know a lot of people believe comb material does not affect tone. However, there is clearly a difference with these combs. It is kind of like going from a woodwind to a brass instrument, subtle, but very distinct. My Thanks to Tom for SP20 custom combs that play, sound and look great. ----------

I got a Sp20 comb from Tom. It is amazing. Tom, you've outdone yourself, and that's a tall order!

I have one of the Blue Moon Harmonica's brass Special 20 combs and it was like going from a pickup truck to a Corvette in playability and performance with a set of (A) reed plates. The BEST harp I have in my collection now.
I also have one of Tom's acrylic Special 20 combs with a Low F set of reed plates and it plays like greased lightning. I just wish I had the cash to buy more, will have to wait till my birthday :)
