I found a problem with the website page numbers. The ones on the bottom of the page do work properly for some reason, at least on my computer. I was trying to find the For Sale Page for 2015, because it is no longer on the front page of the Forum, at least to my knowledge, but instead there is one that says "For Sale or Trade" I am confused, perhaps because I am old.6xjqd ----------

I've also encountered the problem with the page numbers; the page refreshes but always loads page 1 again.
I tend to just use the page numbers at the top instead.
You're only 'old' when you can no longer play harmonica... :)

It'd be best to delete that set, rather than leave them in place to confuse and irritate people.
Just my opinion... troubleshooting code on websites is tricky, but simply removing things is normally straightforward.

The top set of numbers work fine for me.
Maybe it's an OS/browser compatibility issue.

That's what I meant - if the bottom set of numbers are removed (site-wide, from the master page template) then we'd be left with only the working top set.

It's a known issue, reported a long time ago to support but they didn't consider it a priority. Right now we are pushing them on captchas. We got a letter from someone who can't see who can't participate in the site because we don't have an audio captcha option. We are hoping they will provide a better solution than what we've got but as they put it, they have finite resources and lots of competing priorities. I know, it's clunky. We don't have access to that part of the page code on our own. I agree. It doesn't look professional. Still looking into getting the automated password reset fixed too.

I hope whoever is providing the support is doing it for free... At work, we'd never even imply that a customer is not our number one priority. If we get swamped with work, we'll spread the workload for as many clients as possible and least do some of the simpler tasks first.
Anyhoo... Thanks for the clarification nacoran, your efforts and perseverance are appreciated.

Harmlessonica, on their end it's just a matter of triaging problems. They've been very quick to respond to security issues, but they operate templates that run across multiple sites. We don't encounter much spam here, but apparently other customers do, so we get heavy handed spam responses. Recently they added the ability to have sub-headings down the menu bar. I don't think most of their customers rely on the forum feature as heavily as we do, so forum features are farther down their priority list (although they were very good at immediately patching things quickly on the two occasions I discovered potential exploits.) I'm very disappointed that they aren't dealing with the Captcha accessibility issue. Actually, what I'd really like them to do is to open up the template a bit more so we could fix more of these things on our end. I'll keep nipping at their heels. ---------- Nate Facebook Thread Organizer (A list of all sorts of useful threads)
