The Manji is a great harp. Not saying it is better or worse than a Hohner or a Seydel. It is a top tier model and I think you will find that it compares favorably with the the other top tier models such as the Marine Band Deluxe or Crossover or the Seydel Session Steel or 1847 - each of which has it's own loyal following. I don't think you need to hide in a closet to try one.

One year warranty on all Suzuki harps--covers reed failure.
I am the guy who gets to work on them--fun!
They sound great too, the new lower keyed ones speak as well as the higher keys.

I know what everyone is thinking: Hohner did it. Don't diss the Crossover!

Lol!

It's not in the spam folder. Must have been retracted by the op'er.

I just had a flashback, imagining harmonica players hiding in the woodwork with that creepy guy from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang looking for us, crossed with when Roger Rabbit was hiding in the back of the speakeasy/restaurant and the judge was tapping 'Shave and a haircut'. I can just see us, hiding in the closet, and someone plays the call part of a call and answer, and we start sweating trying not to play the response.

Must have missed something here. Someone dissing the Manji? Mick Jagger likes it, always liked the tune he wrote about it.

I missed the first post I guess. For the record I have become a fan of Suzuki, and Manji is toward the top for everyday and gigging harps.

Nobody dissing the Manji. The OP was pretty innocuous. He just mentioned that he was considering trying out a Manji but doing it on the sly. Hence my comment about not having to hide in a closet to try one. No idea why he would have deleted the post.

if the manji was about the same price as a marine band I would buy the manji....just because of the nails of marine band....but an artist setup marine band is much better ootb than a manjiIMHO,especially since I prefer JI tuning
