Picked up an older Epiphone speaker cabinet a couple of years ago. It's got a 12 inch speaker that's not original. There are no identifying indicators on the speaker. It's okay but sounds better with guitar than harp. So I'm thinking of putting in a 12 inch Eminence Cannabis Rex to team with my Masco head or my Jim Rossen Lone Wolf 6L6SE head for harp.
My question for the forum is does anyone else use the relatively inexpensive Epiphone cabinet and is it of sufficient quality to be paired with a relatively expensive speaker like the Cannabis Rex?

The Epiphone Valve Junior cabinet, with a 12, has been regarded well.

One of these?

If so...the original speaker was great. An Eminence Lady Luck. But these were pretty well built cabs, and should suit a C-Rex just fine.

Yes, that's the speaker cabinet. The back is fairly open but there's a grill over the opening. Lots of screws holding the back on. The cabinet looks and feels like it has some quality to it so thanks for confirming! The serial number plate indicates the original speaker was 16 ohms but if it was a Lady Luck it's long gone. I'll put in an 8 ohm Cannabis Rex and see how it goes. Will probably try a Lil Buddy in a 10 inch spare cabinet that's also hanging around doing nothing.
