I've now owned one of these for a number of months and had the chance to experiment with settings etc.
I have installed an equivalent EL34 (Sovtek) to get the 20w output, but have not made any other changes.
I run this head through 2 x Eminence Lil' Buddy 10" speakers.
The settings I prefer are as follows: Depth at 4th position, Tremelo 50%, Speed 50%, Reverb 12.5%, Tone 0.
Obviously, everyone will want their own settings, but this might help to kick it off for you.
I no longer use any external pedals either as the tremelo and the reverb do just what I want. I have even stopped using my analog delay.
I have owned maybe 15-20 amps over the years and never found just what I was after until now.
You listening VHT? Give me a call anytime.

That VHT model is inspired in another (fender?) amp?

rogonzab...I tend to think of that VHT as a cross between a BF Deluxe Reverb, a BF Princeton Reverb, and a Kalamazoo Reverb 12 if you're using EL84 adapters. Basically has all the features of those amps, plus a little bit of added versatility.

I can't wait for the Special 44 to hit my store...
