A search for "harmonica" on the Instructables.com website turns up a startlingly wide range of stuff, including cases, bullet mics, how to clean and build, a gigaharmonica, and a carrot flute:

some of the stuff on this site is just out there, silly , some folks have too much time on their hands .. like the following : Self Playing Harmonica - the pic hooked me ....
That being said there is also some tidbits worth a few min. exploring .. if nothing else for creative inspiration ....

Tooka's little slot checker from an LED and some of Oldwailer's harp repair stuff... I guess they are part DIY and part DIY tools. Isaac's got a couple too.
My brother made me a chainmail harmonica holder. Don't have a DIY video for it. Maybe I could get him to make one. :)
There are some not quite DIY things that are more professional harmonica tinkering, like the stuff Brendan Powers and Jim Antaki's Turboslide. There is a company near me making that's a Sip & Puff accessibility device for people with paralysis that doubles as a harmonica (Jamboxx).
I've been playing with attaching harmonica lids with magnets.

(Still refining it).
