Does anyone out there use one of these? I bought a second-hand one on a whim for a good price recently, and I'm finding it really difficult to adjust the knobs to get a decent sound for harp. Before I drive myself crazy, has anyone got any tips or suggested settings?
Cheers, Mike

I had one, for guitar. Harp just didn't work. My latest pedal is this Hammond B9 organ wonder. Works well, if you play softly and try to concentrate more on chords and rhythm. First position seems better and avoid bending notes, just go to the note, organs don't bend.

Maxon AF-9 got good reviews from harp players (Buddha, among others). I tried it, liked it, but didn't use it enough to keep it.

Rick...does that B9 also have Leslie emulation built in? I've been messing around with a Dano Rocky Road lately to attain organ tone for some Steppenwolf stuff we've been doing. It sounds very authentic, but the gain behind it is presenting a feedback hazard.

I have a Digitech Synthwah and once I tried the Electroharmonix Q-Tron. Both of them sound good for harmonica, but you must use them with a low impedance mic. Bullets got way too much output and tend to saturate the sensibility of the pedal.

If you add a modulation effect, like chorus or octave, before the autowah, it gets a lot better.

i like it...
that would be fun at the next jam session
some of the guys there, i think their heads would explode.

just add a little alcohol, and a synth wah
good fun for sure.

Thanks Martic, that sounds like fun! Your comment about the mic output makes a lot of sense. Maybe that's why I can't get mine to sound any good. More experimenting required...

Very cool Boris! What's the other effect you use, with the blue stomp box?
