It's quite possible that The Blues Doctors will stop over in Bloomington, Indiana on the way back from our little tour--next Monday night, June 30th. Which would put kudzurunner and mooncat in the same town, ready to rumble.
Does anybody know of a blues jam session, or a gig in need of an opening act, or just a gig, within 25 miles of Bloomington on that night? June 30th. I'd love to make it work. Jason and the Blues Doctors has a nice ring.
We'll have our PA system with us, and all backline--everything needed to play a private party, for example.

I thought the first comment was going to follow on from the title with "went to sea in a beautiful pea green boat".
No idea why that popped into my head. Wise Owl and the Pussy Cat?

Of course, we'll be crossing the US/Canadian border and driving 550 miles, so we'll be a little toasted..........

Wow. Please, someone get a good recording of this! Are you sure you don't mean Burlington Vermont, or Binghampton NY. Those 'b' cities all sound alike after a while.

If you can't find a gig, how about meeting with the Indiana Harmonica club? Or, if you find a gig, we'll all attend, keep us posted.

There is a place called Slippery Noodle Inn - one hour away (50 miles) in Indianapolis. They have blues seven (7) nights a week. There is a blues band called Gene Deer Band playing on the evening of June 30. I'd look these guys up, contact them, and ask them if you and Jason can jam with them at their gig (The bar has no cover that night). It appears from their Facebook page that they play there often, so they may not mind very much. You guys would tear the place up. That's what I would do, just a suggestion, if this is a music moment that should not be passed up.

Private party, huh? Any chance of making it back to Congers? Unfortunately all I can offer is a raging bonfire and the world's friendliest Pitbull. And a small crowd of bikers.
