Just a quick question here. I wanted to buy a Session Steel, but the Seydel site is in German (and the English site redirects me to the German one) and this is the only place I could find that doesn't overprice them by about $20. Is it reliable? I assume so but I don't wanna be out $60, since that's a pretty high price tag.

the session steel is my favorite harmonica.
i do not care for the cover plates, so i had them changed.

one feature that is super cool is this,
when a reed goes bad, you do not throw it in a drawer,
and buy a new harp. you call greg jones, and he can send you a new set of reed plates.
you do not need to install both plates
if 4 draw goes bad, you just pop in the bottom plate
you have the top plate in case 4 blow goes bad.

i have had most every model of harmonica made at one time or another, the session steel, is what i gig with.

----------

i get a lot of request when i play my harmonica
"but i play it anyway"

Rockin Ron's the best. Best prices, best service, and very fast delivery. If Ron doesn't have something, or it is in back order he will tell you up front and tell you when it will be in or not. He will not lead you down the the primrose path and keep you hanging. He also has harp parts for several models like reed plates and the special screws for cover plates and reed plates which you will not find at Home Depot. 5 star rating for Rockin Ron's.

On the stainless steel Seydel models .. and the brass for that matter, I also offer very low cost reed replacement with polished stainless steel reeds.

If you live in the US, Rockin Ron's is definitely the way to go. When I'm stateside, I usually put an order in. Ron ships them immediately. Prices are good. (Also, I have joined the Amazon boycott - so I'm not going near them any more).

Here in Europe, both Thomann and Seydel direct are good sources of stock Seydels.

Yep, the Session Steel is a fantastic instrument!

I get my harps form Rockin Ron. I am fortunate to live close enough to drop by and pick them up. I have gotten reed plates for Hohners, Seydels, Lee Oscars, and Suzukis from him and have yet to find him out of stock on what I need.

I got a set of customized Session Steel plates from Greg that have helped me with my overblows. Greg is also great to deal with.

Just talked to Ron ten minutes ago and I ordered a Marine Band Crossover in Bb, and he was on it. I expect to get it by tomorrow. Great guy, great product, fair prices, great service. Highly recommended.

I dream of someday visiting Rocking Rons when I get out to the far coast to visit my dad. I imagine it's something like the Willy Wonkas of harmonicas.

He does it right. :)

Does he have a store? I was in SD a couple weeks ago and wanted to stop by but when I looked it up on maps, it was a residence. The wife can't say no when people are around. She just won't do it.

Rockin Ron Rocks though. I won't buy from anyone else. I visit his webstore on almost a daily basis. I don't know why but I do.
