Hello, good people. I was going to name this "Two Amps/One Cup," but decided against it. There are some things we can never unsee...

I thought I would update you guys on what looks to be a plateau of sorts in my search for rig-contentment.

Caveat: I currently play in a duo - with a well-heeled guitar player - so volume is rarely an issue.

As you can see in the photo from last week’s gig - (in the post below, with a hat-tip to Hawkeye)...

... I’m using a 1965 Kalamazoo Model II (here mic'd as a precaution) on one side of the stage, and a VHT Special 6 (with a 5751 tube) on the other side.

They are connected with a Radial BigShot ABY Switch, with has simple switches for lift and phase.

I use a Digitech RP350 with Richard Hunter’s patch-set for harp, which I’ve tweaked for my own uses.

I’ve gigged out with this new setup three times now, and, overall, I am really, really pleased with the sound, tone, and volume. I have the Zoo at Volume 7 and Tone at 8. That provides the crunch. I have the VHT running Clean, at Volume 7 and Tone 5. It provides a nice, stable bottom end.

When I use the effects, I’m told it sounds like the tone/sound is coming from somewhere in-between the two amps, which is where I’m standing as the Singer/Harp Player.

So, wanted to throw out my 2 cents - you guys have been very helpful to me!

Thanks -

Heath

Here's a resize and an embed for you Heath. Nice background btw!

Have you considered simply running the RP pedal in stereo to the two amps rather than mono to the ABY?

To clarify, I do indeed use the STEREO OUT on the Digitech.

The venue is called "Revolutions" in Bethlehem, PA.
