I'm trying to find more examples of rockish blues. I don't know the right name for this except to call it heavy blues. Blues that's got a distinctive rock edge but is still definitively the blues.

Jason nails it in this song. Also in his song "The Worlds Just Wrong"

As does Gary Clark Jr

Does anybody know who else makes blues like this?

Thanks!

Some people use the term 'roadhouse', some derogatively, some positively, for this style, I think. Unfortunately, on YouTube that gets you a lot of Patrick Swayze links.

You might like some of the songs on the Sons of Anarchy soundtrack. Here is a link. You can drag the play bar through. Not all of them are in that style, but some are. Not harp specific.

Someone asked that question on Yahoo! Here is the link, including some video links that might fall into that category. Again, not harp specific.

Of course, you have rock bands that are bluesy, like Led Zeppelin.

That's actually kind of what I'm shooting for with my band.

They mention rock here but it might be blues. All night long.
