I seem to remember another comment, after he'd played with it a while, that it was, in fact, kind of tiring to hold for an entire show because of the heft. :)

The one he was playing in the 1990s was a silver 2012, which would be a bit lighter with 4 fewer holes.

Yeah, me too. I bought one when they first hit the music store. I didn't like it too well. I traded it for a peavy amp.
